BMW 2302
Okay, 2302 is what we're calling it. My son and I are dropping
a 323i motor and 5spd out of an '80 323i into this car. We've just
got started with the project (Dec '05) and will try to make progress
as best we can. I'm trying to get him to do a lot of the work, but
we all know how easy THAT is! |

BMW 3.0cs
I decided I wanted to drive a "beater" CS and
fix it up as I go. I found this one for sale in L.A. and quickly contacted
a guy that I knew could inspect it for me. To make a long story short,
my friend bought it on the spot for a very good price. He then went
through the entire car, replaced some worn out parts and sent me 100
pictures. Just the car I was looking for! (I picked this car up in
December 2002) It needs some immediate rust repair, but considering
its a CS, the rust isn't bad at all. |

BMW 3.0cs
I found this car while looking through one of the on-line
auto classified web sites. It was located about two hours away and
looked like a very nice CS. The ad said it had a blown motor and was
priced very reasonable. THAT got my attention. The next day I met
the owner where the car was being stored and checked it out. It had
absolutely no rust anywhere on the car, which led me to having a religious
experience right there in the parking lot! SOLD! I wrote him a check
for a deposit and picked the car up that weekend. Awesome car. Polaris
with blue leather, sunroof, A/C, Webers, 4spd, LSD, Bilstein suspension,
oversized anti-sway bars, all it needed was an engine rebuild. That
was done over the next three or four weekends and I had the car on
the road a month after buying it. We took that car to the Monterey
Historics, Napa Valley, all over the place. But, after a couple years
of enjoyment I decided I didn't need two "fun" cars (see
E-type) and decided to sell it. Now another lucky guy is enjoying
it. I'll probably own another in the future. Update:
See above! 8-) |

Jaguar E-type Roadster ... SOLD
summer of 2005!
I've had this car for quiet a while now and have yet to give it the
attention it deserves. Mechanically its always been very reliable,
but I need to do quite a bit of cosmetic work on it to make it more
presentable. Mainly paint and interior. The car is very solid, with
little or no rust to be found, so it should clean up nicely. Too many
BMW projects in the way! |
